Chris and Holly Steed have five children: Jack, Jon, Jed, Angela and Kendy.
Since 2011, the Steed family has served in the community of Magdalena Milpas Altas in Guatemala. In 2016, they began Project for Hope, a ministry focused on single mothers, widows, and their children. Together with their national staff, they help under-resourced fatherless families to thrive. More than that, the transforming power of the Gospel is being shared with all.

Hi we are the Spraggs. When we moved to the Kingdom of Swaziland, now known as the Kingdom of eSwatini, we were a family of 5 and have increased to a family of 7. Stephen and Charity are the parents to Hannah, Luke, Titus, Busanda & B (lives with us throughout the week), and have lived in eSwatini since 2014.
We serve through Adventures in Missions, which is a ministry that is focused on “transforming individuals who will transform communities”. A key platform we use is Care Points in communities where children come and receive food, love, care and discipleship 5 days a week.
Stephen took on the pastoral responsibility of leading and shepherding a local multi-cultural church that uses English as it’s medium. English is a bridge between many cultures, and we desire to be a part of God creating an incredible diverse church that will live out His Kingdom culture, and in turn display His Glory.
We also look forward to future ministry opportunities that God is beginning, in, and through our family, such as, equipping of local pastors and missionary care.

Thailand has a prevalence of Buddhism that ranks among the highest in the world. According to the last census (2000) 94.6% of the total population are Buddhists. Muslims are the second largest religious group in Thailand at 4.6%. Christians represent only 0.5% of the population. Statistically, it appears that Christianity in Thailand may be growing at a slower rate than population growth.

Matthew and Brooke Rolfe have served full time at the Buena Vista Sports Academy for boys (BVSA) in Buena Vista, Guatemala since January 2020.
There, along with other BVSA missionaries, Matt and Brooke have the opportunity to pour into these boys’ lives and teach them about following Jesus, respecting women, serving their community, and becoming loving husbands and fathers.
BVSA is a ministry that uses the language of soccer as a tool to reach young boys in the community, aiming to break generational chains of sin, poverty, addiction, and spiritual lostness in tough places around the world. BVSA believes that if we can lead the young boys to Jesus, the impact will reach the girls and the women; and it will eventually rebuild broken families, transform cities, and change generations to come.
Brooke grew up in Guatemala, where her parents started BVSA in 2011. She moved back to the States in 2016 to pursue a college education, and during that time met her husband, Matt. Matt traveled with Brooke to Guatemala several times, where he fell in love with the place and the people. Matt and Brooke were married in December 2018, and, soon after, felt the call to go.
Matt and Brooke have a son, James, who was born in Guatemala in September 2020. They both have a love for music, people, and sharing the gospel. Their prayer is that God would be glorified through their lives and that He would send them to the places where His love is needed the most.

JP, Elizabeth, Yahna, & Koa Ott are missionaries with World Outreach Ministries. They (JP, Elizabeth, & Yahna) moved to the Czech Republic in June of 2018. Koa was born in Prague on October 31, 2019.
Prior to the Czech Republic they served in Thailand for one year teaching English and doing weekly village outreaches. and three months in Burkina Faso doing a missions internship.
In the Czech Republic, they work alongside the local church and closely with Dignity, a refugee ministry. At Dignity, JP teaches English lessons and Liz leads group fitness classes.
JP also works with an European Union project in Prague as a roving English teacher. This is a very strategic position to build relationships with many parents, teachers, and students in the community.
They are currently preparing for a shift in ministry to focus more on the “whole man” through spiritual, emotional and physical discipleship.

Hello! We are Andy and Brooke Montero, our little ones are Lily and Logan. Since God has used Cru to help us understand the abundant life Jesus promised, we work towards bringing glory to God on the campuses all over South Florida. Our mission is to help students lead others in their personal walk with Jesus through discipleship, evangelism, bible studies, worship, and to serve as lifelong ambassadors for Jesus Christ. To cultivate compassion for all people and a true faith that will act on the promises of God.

Mynor and Walda Leiva had the blessing to start serving God in the Buena Vista Sports Academy for Boys, in Guatemala in 2011.
It has been a calling for Mynor since he was a kid, the desire to give his own people, specially young boys that can't afford it, the opportunity to learn how to play soccer.
Mynor had the blessing to be a professional soccer player in the area before joining forces with the Johnson family through the BVSA Academy.
Now they are serving as a Coach and Tutor for the Rhino boys, in the Operational Area of the Academy, they participate in training leaders for the future Academies.
Mynor and Walda's desire is to be able to impact lives so that they can share the same passion to love other people and share with others the wonderful gift of eternal life with Christ!

Erin Jones’ life was significantly impacted by her years as a student in Cru at the University of North Florida. At a time in life when she was desperately seeking for her identity, Cru staff and students met her where she was and helped cut through the confusion by pointing her to the heart of God.
In 2014, God allowed her and her husband to return to their alma mater as campus field staff. For six years, it was a joy to pour into student’s lives the same truths that they had come to build their lives on. By God’s grace, they introduced these students to Jesus, created life-changing community, and equipped students to live their lives on a mission, so that upon graduation, 100% of their students were able to share Jesus wherever they were sent.
In 2019, God opened another door for Erin to continue her work in the Kingdom and mission of Cru by transitioning to the People & Culture Team for Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. As part of this team Erin now serves as the Coordinator for Part Time Field Staff. Through caring for staff from their point of entry at the application process to their ongoing field work she has the opportunity to help keep staff in healthy places and on healthy teams so that their longevity and capacity is high to continue serving with Cru for the Kingdom.
Thank you for coming alongside Erin in the mobilization of missionaries so that the Gospel can advance with greater speed and effectiveness. If you would like to receive newsletter updates, please contact Erin at the above email address.

The Johnson's followed God's call to Guatemala in August of 2008. Eventually, God began to shape a vision that would become the Buena Vista Sports Academy for Boys.
BVSA is a ministry committed to preaching the gospel and long-term discipleship. They use the game of soccer as a tool to get the gospel into tough places around the world, and make disciples who will make disciples.
After 10 years in Buena Vista, Guatemala, the Johnsons followed the Lord's call to plant additional academies in Honduras, West Africa, and another one in Guatemala, in the northern region of Quiché.
Before global missions, Brock's professional background was in the business side of professional sports both as an NFL executive and sports agent - which admittedly almost ruined him! He feels blessed to now be coaching and discipling boys who are far from the hoopla of professional sports.
BVSA has grown to now include lots of missionary families serving across 3 different countries. Working out of the newest academy in Quiché, Guatemala, the Johnson's oversee the ministry, including day-to-day operations, training new missionaries, and pioneering new academy plants. Their hearts are fullest when teaching the bible and discipling boys.
Brock and Kerrie have four children and two grandchildren. Madi is married to Todd Spires, with granddaughter Emerson. Brooke is married to Matt Rolfe, with grandson James. Jake is a senior at Cedarville University, playing soccer and studying Kinesiology. And then Luciana Andrea (9) who loves Jesus, cultures, languages... and keeping mom and dad on their toes!

Jose and Glenda Castro are long-term workers with Youth With A Mission, or YWAM. They work together, helping each other in complementary ministries. Jose is part of the YWAM Frontier Missions leadership team, training and mobilizing workers, with a focus on sending Latinos, to go to unreached people groups. Glenda is part of the North American and Central American Member Care Training Teams, helping to develop and keep the workers on the field, healthy and effective, through good member care.
Thailand and Nicaragua have both been home for them, where they worked in the areas of church planting, leadership development and member care. They currently live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, helping to care for Glenda’s parents, while continuing the ministry virtually and in person. They are grateful to God, and to Emmaus, for the opportunities they have been given to go into all the world, making disciples and pointing people to Jesus.

In 1991, the Rick and Elisabeth went to Africa and began pioneer church planting among the least accessible, unreached people.
Reaching out in a variety of ways, including sports, hospitality, literature, parties, tools, local school partnerships, seeds for farming, soccer teams, sportplex, eyeglasses, and tea debates, they have seen God at work in deepening relationships with their neighbors. A
Years passed without visible change, but God continued to be at work! Today, outward signs of God's grace are pointing to extreme decisions being made with life and death consequences both eternally and within the community!

Hi! I am Brie Adams and I attended and graduated from the University of North Florida in the spring of 2019. During my time in college, I was involved with a campus ministry called the Navigators. The Navigators helped develop and strengthen my walk with Jesus through an emphasis on personal discipleship modeled after Paul and Timothy. After feeling the Lord calling me to become a vocational missionary, I prayed about what that would look like and felt God showing me the need for college students to hear the Gospel and be discipled in their walk with the Jesus.
Now as a recent college graduate, I am going back to the place where my relationship with God grew the most and serving on staff with the Navigators at the University of North Florida! My deepest hope and prayer for my time at UNF would be that God would use the ministry of the Navigators and my life to help multiply laborers who have a heart, skill, and vision for administering the Gospel to lost and hurting souls.
I am so excited to see what God does in the lives of college students at UNF and am so thankful for the opportunity to get to serve full time as staff with the Navigator ministry!
