“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
We don’t have to go across the world to practice true religion. There are opportunities all around us. There are an estimated 19,000 children in foster care in Florida. At any given time, hundreds of those children are eligible for adoption.
Foster care and adoption are two ways that we can practice true religion right in our own community. There are a number of families at Emmaus who have chosen to serve the Lord through fostering and adopting. We would love to share more with you about how you too can be a part of changing a child’s life.
