Kids are Important to Us!

We believe that our children are the next generation of leaders in the Church as well as society.

For this reason, we place a high priority on the Children’s Ministry at Emmaus.

Birth – Preschool

Our youngest children will experience the love of God through song, play, and hands on activities. Kids ages two-four experience bible lessons from Faithweaver and are provided with take home activity sheets and crafts as we encourage families to talk about faith at home throughout the week.

K-2nd Grade

Our early elementary kids are taught with curriculum from The Gospel Project. Each week the children engage through prayer, praise, activities, games and bible reading. Our volunteers use age appropriate interactions to convey a love of Christ and community to families each Sunday.

3rd-5th Grade

Our older elementary kids are taught prayer, worship and the importance of studying the Word of God. We want children to know that Jesus loves them and He has a plan for their lives. The Gospel Project chronologically walks through the time line of Biblical events and looks at the big picture of God’s story.

Your First Visit

The first time you come, just head over to our check-in counter. Our volunteers will walk you through the check in process and assist you in printing badges for you and your child.

How Check-In Works

The doors to all of our Children’s areas open at 9:45. You may check in your child at an available station at the check-in counter at that time. You and your child will be given matching badges – your child will wear the name badge portion, and you’ll keep the parent tag! After service, you’ll return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released to you.

5th Sunday Family Service

While we place a high value on children’s ministry, we also feel it is important for families to worship together. For this reason, we have chosen to make the 5th Sunday of the month a family service. On these Sundays there will be no childcare and we will all be together in the auditorium. The service will be  little shorter and coloring pages and crayons are made available for the little ones.

Bible Teaching

Bible Teaching

The Bible is brought to life through our fun, creative, and interactive curriculum. Children  are taught to understand the Bible through the lens of the gospel. God’s story points to Jesus and it is our desire to point our children to Jesus as well.

Safety

Safety

The care and safety of your children is one of our top priorities. Our staff and volunteers are highly-trained, and our secure check-in/check-out process is designed to help you rest assured that while you are enjoying your worship service, your children are safe and well cared-for.

Serving

Serving

We rely on faithful volunteers like you to help us be a blessing to the children at Emmaus. There are plenty of opportunities to serve with Emmaus Kids and we would love to have you join our team. If you are interested in serving you can contact us here.

Sick Policy

Sick Policy

It is our desire to maintain a healthy environment for all of our children at Emmaus.  It is for this reason that we ask all parents to abide by our sick policy when considering whether or not to bring your child to service after he or she has been ill.  (View Sick Policy Here)

Fostering Growth

In the car after church, We encourage you to ask your kids questions like, “Who did you learn about today?” and “What was your favorite part?” Our goal is that your kids have answers to these questions each and every week!
